ANDRITZ to supply precision cold rolling mill for titanium processing in China
A leading company in China’s titanium industry has placed an order with international technology group ANDRITZ for a precision 20-high reversing cold rolling mill.
Start-up of the new mill is scheduled for April 2027.
The mill will produce titanium, titanium alloy, and nickel alloy strip with a maximum width of 650 mm and ultra-thin final gauges. The project focuses on stable strip flatness, consistent thickness accuracy, and high surface quality in continuous operation.
The customer and ANDRITZ have selected a proven four-column (SFC) design to ensure stable rolling conditions and a long service life. The ANDRITZ scope of supply includes the complete mechanical and electrical equipment, supervision of installation and commissioning, and the ANDRITZ shape-tronic system (STS) for automatic strip shape control. The delivery also comprises technological systems for cooling, lubrication, and filtration, enabling efficient use of operating media.
The value of the order will not be disclosed. It is included in ANDRITZ’s order intake for the fourth quarter of 2025.
